Em geral, o valor de p em um artigo cient\u00edfico deve ser escrito com duas casas decimais (ex. p = 0,54, p = 0,03).<\/p>\n

O valor deve ser arredondado para cima ou para baixo conforme o n\u00famero na\u00a0<\/span>terceira casa decimal<\/strong>: se 5 ou mais, arredondar o n\u00famero da segunda casa decimal para um valor acima, se 4 ou menos, arredondar o n\u00famero da segunda casa decimal para um valor abaixo (ex. p = 0,541 deve ser arredondado para p = 0,54, p = 0,025 deve ser arredondado para 0,03).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Devem ser mantidas 3 casas decimais quando o valor de p arredondado muda a signific\u00e2ncia estat\u00edstica do resultado, como por exemplo, p = 0,046 (um resultado com signific\u00e2ncia estat\u00edstica) n\u00e3o deve ser arredondado para p = 0,05 (um resultado sem signific\u00e2ncia estat\u00edstica).<\/span><\/p>\n

– Valores de p abaixo de 0.01 devem ser representados com 3 casas decimais: p = 0.003.\u00a0Em uma tabela, se um valor de p \u00e9 identificado com 3 casas decimais, todos os outros valores de p na tabela tamb\u00e9m devem ser representados com 3 casas decimais.<\/span><\/p>\n

– Valores de p abaixo de 0,001 n\u00e3o devem ser identificados pelo valor exato (por exemplo, p = 0,0009). Se o valor de p estiver abaixo de 0,001, o sinal de “menor que” (<) deve ser inserido ap\u00f3s “p”, seguido do valor de 0,001: p < 0,001.<\/p>\n
